Volleyball Recap: Winnebago Lutheran Academy Comes Up Short

Winnebago Lutheran Academy lost against Fox Valley Lutheran back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Vikings fell just short of the Foxes by a score of 2-1.

Fox Valley Lutheran had a senior duo take command as Riley Schmitz had 22 digs and three assists and Sammie Thomas had ten digs. With that strong performance, Schmitz is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game.

Winnebago Lutheran Academy now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Fox Valley Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Winnebago Lutheran Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Luther Prep on the 27th. As for Fox Valley Lutheran, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Manitowoc Lutheran on the 27th.
