The Shady Spring Tigers will challenge the Buffalo Bison at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Shady Spring is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.

Shady Spring is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of West Virginia's top teams: Independence, who was ranked 24th at the time (Shady Spring was ranked ninth). The Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Patriots on Friday, sneaking past 9-8. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Tyler Wilhite, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Claypool, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, Buffalo fell victim to Winfield and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Generals, falling 7-0. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Shady Spring's victory bumped their record up to 20-6. As for Buffalo, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Shady Spring has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Buffalo struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
