Soccer Game Preview: Spruce Creek vs. New Smyrna Beach

The Spruce Creek Hawks will face off against the New Smyrna Beach Barracudas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Spruce Creek fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's season opener. They never let Pine Ridge get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Tuesday. Spruce Creek's winning goal came courtesy of Ryder Rees.

Meanwhile, DeLand kept up with New Smyrna Beach until halftime on Wednesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Barracudas were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The win continues a trend for New Smyrna Beach in their matchups with DeLand: they've now won six in a row.
