Lynlee Hall was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over eight innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off eight hits (and only one walk). Hall was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

Hall wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Pope, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Payson waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Tigers.

Peyton Staheli spent all 11 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 21 Ks. Those 21 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, Mahaila Buys and Anna Marvin did most of the damage at the plate: Buys scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Marvin scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Marvin is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lucy Jessen, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Payson pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Uintah, their record is now 10-4.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Uintah has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Payson struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Uintah might still be hurting after the 11-4 loss they got from Payson in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Utes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
