Softball Recap: Paradise Valley Trojans vs. Ironwood Eagles        
        
		
            
 Paradise Valley had to endure  a  ten-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged the Ironwood Eagles out  13-12. The high-scoring effort was just what Paradise Valley needed considering they were shutout in their previous   game.
  Chloe Herron and  Maddie Ryan did most of the damage at the plate:  Herron  got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with a  home run, three  RBI,  and a  triple, while  Ryan  scored three  runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jasmine Esckelson, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 On Ironwood's side,  Addison Monahan led a balanced group of hitters,  going 4-for-5 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple. Another player making a difference was  Samantha Murray, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 4-for-5.
 Paradise Valley's victory  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 5-14. As for Ironwood, they have  not been sharp recently as the team has  lost seven of their last nine matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record  this season.
 Paradise Valley will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Sunrise Mountain at 4:00  p.m. Paradise Valley has given up an average of 10.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Ironwood, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Kellis at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday. Ironwood has given up an average of 9.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
