Volleyball Recap: Saint Ignatius College Prep Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Oak Park-River Forest

Saint Ignatius College Prep faced Oak Park-River Forest in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Wolfpack took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huskies. The Wolfpack were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Oak Park-River Forest scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20.

Saint Ignatius College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 23-7. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they have been performing well recently as they've won 17 of their last 20 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.

Saint Ignatius College Prep will face off against Willowbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Park-River Forest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
