Recap: Pike Valley Panthers vs. Stockton Tigers
After flying high against the Miltonvale Warriors last Friday, the Pike Valley Panthers came back down to earth. Pike Valley fell 50-37 to Stockton on Friday.
Pike Valley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Reese Douglas, who scored nine points along with three steals and three blocks, and Breanna Reeves who scored 22 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 59.5% of Pike Valley's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Pike Valley's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-6. As for Stockton, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pike Valley will take on Natoma at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stockton, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Trego at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th. Hopefully Trego focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Saturday.
