Basketball Recap: Box Elder Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Box Elder can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Big Sandy Pioneers and fell 66-30. The defeat continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now lost six in a row.

Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Martay Stiffarm-Rosette, who posted 12 points.

Box Elder's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Big Sandy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Box Elder wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 48-45 win against North Star on the 21st. As for Big Sandy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-51 defeat against Chester-Joplin-Inverness on the 21st.
