Basketball Recap: Logan Karrasch's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Salem Hills over Mountain Ridge

Salem Hills lost against Mountain Ridge back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Skyhawks took a 73-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sentinels. The contest was a 33-33 toss-up at halftime, but the Skyhawks couldn't quite close it out.

Salem Hills' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Karrasch, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Taylor, who shot 43% from the field on his way to 14 points and six boards.

Salem Hills' defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mountain Ridge, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salem Hills will face off against Provo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Skyhawks will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.4 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mountain Ridge, they will challenge Hunter at 7:00 p.m. on the 3rd.
