Softball Recap: Santana Sultans vs. Helix Highlanders
Santana got themselves on the board against Helix on Thursday, but Helix never followed suit. They had just enough and edged the Helix Highlanders out 1-0. This was payback for Santana, who suffered a 4-3 loss the last time these two teams met.
Not much got past Aurelia Dawson, who gave up just four hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Helix off the board. Dawson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
On the hitting side, Santana's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ashlyn Darrow, who went 1-for-2 with an RBI.
