It was a good run, but Pomona Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary Cardinals by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Pomona Catholic started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 24-26, 22-25, 25-17, 27-25, 15-8.

Pomona Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary, they pushed their record up to 19-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Pomona Catholic will head out to square off against Flintridge Sacred Heart at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary, they will venture away from home to challenge Paraclete at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
