Baseball Game Preview: Clermont Northeastern Rockets vs. Mariemont Warriors

The Clermont Northeastern Rockets will head out to challenge the Mariemont Warriors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Clermont Northeastern came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Western Brown, falling 14-1. The Rockets have struggled against the Broncos recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Mariemont unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 11-1 to Indian Hill. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered since April 12th.

Mariemont's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Clermont Northeastern, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Clermont Northeastern couldn't quite get it done against Mariemont in their previous matchup back in April of 2023 as they fell 14-10. Can the Rockets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
