While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Knights are ranked 33rd).
Nolensville can attribute much of their success to Leilani Washington, who went 6 for 8 on her way to 14 points and four steals. That's the most steals Washington has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Galloway, who posted nine points.
Independence now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Nolensville, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Independence will be playing in front of their home fans against Ravenwood at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Independence is facing Ravenwood at the right time seeing as Ravenwood is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Nolensville, they will venture away from home to challenge Franklin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
