Volleyball Recap: Blackman Comes Up Short at Home Against Lebanon

Blackman unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Lebanon Blue Devils by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. While the Blaze didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Blue Devils 25-19 in the first set.

Blackman actually scored more points across those five sets (105-104), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 26-24, 19-25, 25-18, 15-13.

The win was the third in a row for Lebanon, bringing their record up to 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Blackman is set to face off against their familiar foe Green Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Lebanon will take on rival Siegel at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
