The Conifer Lobos's road trip will continue as they head out to face the D'Evelyn Jaguars at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Conifer's pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so D'Evelyn's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Conifer is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Pomona just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 7-6. The loss put an end to the Lobos' undefeated start to the season.

Finley Johnson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with a triple, two RBI, and a run. The team also got some help courtesy of Avrie Bunchman, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Tess Miller made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up five earned (and four unearned) runs off 11 hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career- in home runs.
