Basketball Game Preview: Broadwater Academy Vikings vs. Hampton Christian Academy Warriors

The Broadwater Academy Vikings will head out on the road to challenge the Hampton Christian Academy Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Broadwater Academy is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Broadwater Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Isle of Wight Academy and fell 40-37. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly three points.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Noah Pruitt, who posted ten points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Ross, who had eight points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Hampton Christian Academy played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 70-50 to Atlantic Shores Christian. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-21.

Broadwater Academy will have to keep a close watch on Kobe America and Bryce Harris, a pair of players who had a big impact on Hampton Christian Academy's prior game. America went 5 of 9 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds, while Harris went 5 for 9 en route to 12 points and five boards. Harris has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Joel Fullwood, who earned six points and three steals.

Hampton Christian Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-10. As for Broadwater Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Broadwater Academy was taken down by Hampton Christian Academy 91-32 in their previous meeting back in January. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Broadwater Academy was down 66-20.
