Basketball Game Preview: Grafton Bearcats vs. Sissonville Indians

The Grafton Bearcats will venture away from home to face off against the Sissonville Indians at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Grafton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Southern, who was ranked sixth in their home state at the time (Grafton was ranked ninth). Grafton took a hard 68-51 fall against Southern on Thursday. It was the first time this season that the Bearcats let down their fans at home.

Meanwhile, Sissonville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They strolled past the Vikings with points to spare, taking the game 46-29.

Having lost for the first time this season, Grafton fell to 19-1. As for Sissonville, their record now sits at 17-4.

Grafton was dealt a bruising 85-29 defeat at the hands of Sissonville in their previous matchup back in December of 2016. Can Grafton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
