Basketball Game Preview: Navajo Indians vs. Hobart Bearcats

Navajo is 0-9 against Hobart since January of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Navajo Indians will take on the Hobart Bearcats at 8:00 p.m. Hobart took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Navajo, who comes in off a win.

Navajo got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They skirted past Burns Flat-Dill City 59-56. That's two games straight that the Indians have won by exactly three points.

Meanwhile, Hobart unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 55-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oklahoma City Knights HomeSchool.

The victory made it two in a row for Navajo and bumps their season record up to 4-10. As for Hobart, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Navajo took a serious blow against Hobart in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 70-35. Can Navajo avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
