Softball Recap: Heritage Academy Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Heritage Academy put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the ALA - West Foothills Guardians 12-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Heroes also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.

Sieana Soltero was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Amaya LaDrigue was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with five RBI. Gloriann Blanco was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Heritage Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 19 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Heritage Academy pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for ALA - West Foothills, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Looking ahead, Heritage Academy will be taking part in a tournament against Cesar Chavez at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for ALA - West Foothills, they are taking a road trip to face off against Chino Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
