Recap: Wyandanch Warriors vs. Miller Place Panthers
The Wyandanch Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. The match between Wyandanch and Miller Place wasn't particularly close, with Wyandanch falling 62-47. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wyandanch in their matchups with Miller Place: they've now lost seven in a row.
Ava Zicchinelli continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Miller Place, scoring 22 points. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for her. Julie Orenzo was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Wyandanch's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3. As for Miller Place, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Kings Park the next time they take the court. Miller Place will host Kings Park at 5:30 p.m. on January 24th, while Wyandanch will host them at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th.
