Basketball Game Preview: Larned Indians vs. Smoky Valley Vikings

Larned hasn't had much luck against Smoky Valley recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Larned Indians will host the Smoky Valley Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Smoky Valley took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Larned, who comes in off a win.

Larned took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They put the hurt on Hoisington with a sharp 53-31 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Indians have posted since January 23rd.

Meanwhile, Smoky Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-39 heartbreaker at the hands of Pratt.

Larned's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-9. As for Smoky Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.

Larned ended up a good deal behind Smoky Valley in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, losing 59-40. Can Larned avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
