Baseball Recap: Kellogg Comes Up Short

If Kellogg was riding high fresh off their 17-1 takedown of Gobles on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers came up short against the Coldwater Cardinals on Thursday, falling 14-4.

Tucker Tack made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Kellogg is 3-1 when Tack posts two or more runs, but 1-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Cole Palmer, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Kellogg's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Coldwater, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8-1.

Looking ahead, Kellogg will square off against Lakewood at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Coldwater, they will challenge Harper Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
