After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Cherokee brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They blew past the Blue Ridge Early College Bobcats 4-1. Considering Cherokee's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Cherokee's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Blue Ridge Early College, they haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
Cherokee will head out on the road to take on Thomas Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Thomas Jefferson will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Cherokee surely won't give up without a fight. Blue Ridge Early College does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
