Basketball Recap: Waco's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

If University wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Waco, they should've done a better job of containing Aaziyah Degrate. Everything went the Waco Lions' way against the University Trojans on Tuesday as the Waco Lions made off with a 60-36 win thanks in part to Degrate, who went 15 of 17 en route to 33 points and six steals. Those 33 points gave her a new career-high.

With the victory, Waco broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-15. As for University, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Waco has already played their next game, a 57-50 loss against Belton on the 17th. As for University, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 50-36 defeat against Lake Belton on the 17th.
