Preview: Adamson Leopards vs. Sunset Bison
Adamson and Sunset are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Adamson Leopards will be home for the holidays to greet the Sunset Bison at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Tuesday, Adamson had to suffer through a rough 104-46 loss at the hands of South Oak Cliff. Adamson was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 63-22.
Adamson's defeat came about despite a quality game from Eric Guerrero, who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jeremiah Edwards was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 94-30, which was the final score in Sunset's tilt against White on Tuesday. Sunset has not had much luck with White recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Adamson bumped their record down to 2-9 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Sunset, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
Adamson couldn't quite finish off Sunset in their previous meeting back in January and fell 65-62. Thankfully for Adamson, Jacob Navarro (who scored 14 points along with six assists and five steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
