Volleyball Recap: Sci-Tech/Springfield Renaissance Falls to West Springfield in First Game of Season

Sci-Tech/Springfield Renaissance unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the West Springfield Terriers by a score of 3-2 on Friday.

Sci-Tech/Springfield Renaissance wouldn't go down easily and took West Springfield into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The final score came out to 27-29, 25-11, 25-23, 23-25, 15-11.

West Springfield's win bumped their record up to 3-9.

Sci-Tech/Springfield Renaissance does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Springfield, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Central on the 1st.
