Baseball Recap: Lincoln College Prep Drops Highest Score of Season Against Ruskin

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lincoln College Prep). They were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over the Ruskin Golden Eagles on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Brandon Stanford was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Everett Moore, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Lincoln College Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .649. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ruskin only posted an OBP of .214.

Lincoln College Prep now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Ruskin, they are on a 27-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln College Prep will face off against University Academy Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ruskin, they will take on Raytown South at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
