Shaun Barrett was a major factor in Nashoba Valley Tech's victory over Montachusett RVT on Friday. Barrett was dynamite, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Nashoba Valley Tech is 6-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-4-1 otherwise.

Coming up, Barrett and Nashoba Valley Tech will face off against Assabet Valley RVT at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings have some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since April of 2016, but a win here would be a good start.
