Soccer Recap: Ellington Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Ellington and Canton, and Canton kept the tradition alive. The Knights fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. Ellington were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Canton apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Ellington has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Canton, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ellington is set to take on their familiar foe East Granby at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Canton will challenge rival Granby Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
