Basketball Recap: Paola Comes Up Short

Paola lost against Ottawa last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Paola Panthers lost 75-49 to the Ottawa Cyclones. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Cyclones are ranked third).

Paola's loss dropped their record down to 3-5-1. As for Ottawa, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Paola will challenge Bonner Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ottawa has already played their next contest, a 0-0 draw against Silver Lake on the 25th.
