Basketball Game Preview: Benilde-St. Margaret's Red Knights vs. St. Louis Park Orioles

Benilde-St. Margaret and St. Louis Park are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Benilde-St. Margaret's Red Knights will challenge the St. Louis Park Orioles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Benilde-St. Margaret's knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully St. Louis Park likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, everything came up roses for Benilde-St. Margaret's against Jefferson as the squad secured an 88-33 victory. Given the Red Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Jaguars are ranked 236th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, St. Louis Park beat Blake 53-44 on Saturday.

Benilde-St. Margaret's has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.2 points per game. As for St. Louis Park, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.

Benilde-St. Margaret's took their victory against St. Louis Park in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 81-58. Does Benilde-St. Margaret's have another victory up their sleeve, or will St. Louis Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
