The Olympia Spartans are taking a road trip to square off against the Williamsville Bullets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Olympia is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road dating back to last season.

Last Friday, Olympia sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-35 win over Athens.

Olympia found their leader in underclassman Jimmy Lollar, who rushed for 212 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry. Lollar's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 105 rushing yards dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cohen Alexander, who rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown.

Olympia wouldn't let Athens keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Olympia can thank Alexander and Cole Bauer for forcing both of them.

Meanwhile, Williamsville beat Pittsfield 21-12 on Friday. Given the Bullets' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Saukees are ranked 252nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Braddock Cates, who picked up 86 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown.

Olympia's record now sits at 4-0. As for Williamsville, their record now sits at 3-1.
