Volleyball Game Preview: Notre Dame Spirits vs. Monterey Bay Academy

The Notre Dame Spirits will head out on the road to face off against Monterey Bay Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Notre Dame is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

On Wednesday, Notre Dame made easy work of Trinity Christian and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Notre Dame was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-15, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Monterey Bay Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Oakwood last Tuesday and fell 3-2. Monterey Bay Academy has struggled against Oakwood recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Monterey Bay Academy couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Oakwood a tough time in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 22-25, 25-16, 30-28, 15-11.

Monterey Bay Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Notre Dame, their win bumped their record up to 18-5.

Notre Dame was able to grind out a solid victory over Monterey Bay Academy when the teams last played back in September, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spirits since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
