The Tennessee Preparatory Academy Diplomat Lions are on the road again on Wednesday and play against the Melrose Golden Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. on December 20th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
On December 2nd, everything came up roses for Tennessee Preparatory Academy on the road against Manila as the team secured a 68-40 win. Given Tennessee Preparatory Academy's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 19th in Tennessee, while Manila is ranked 182nd in Arkansas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Melrose waltzed into their matchup Monday with four straight wins but they left with five. They had just enough and edged Bolton out 74-71. That's two games straight that Melrose has won by exactly three points.
It was another big night for Deshawn Plummer, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Sanders Jr, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.
The victory got Tennessee Preparatory Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Melrose, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
