AAA Dominion recap Oct. 23, 2012

Bird extended the longest winning streak in AAA Dominion this week by beating Huguenot, 55-0. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.

Midlothian's dynamic duo of Justin Joyce and Daniel Jackson proved tough for Benedictine to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Joyce threw for 205 yards and two touchdowns and Jackson had 83 yards receiving. Carl Courter helped Midlothian's passing attack out by catching two balls for 53 yards.

Carlos Morales was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 68 yards on six carries as Manchester fell to the Cadets. Teammate Troy Corey added to the ground attack by rushing for 52 yards.

Thanks to the talents of Joyce and Taylor Stout Midlothian has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Joyce leads the league in passing with 895 yards, while Stout has rushed for 427 yards this season. The Lancers' Myles Brathwaite leads the league in receiving yards with 629 on 23 catches.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Bird takes on Monacan. As it stands, David Bedwell's team is in first, while the Chiefs are in fifth.

Manchester led AAA Dominion in scoring this week after putting up 62 points on Wythe. Wes Muto threw for 119 yards and one touchdown and ran for nine yards in the win.
