Soccer Game Preview: Captain Shreve vs. Neville

The Captain Shreve Gators are taking a road trip to square off against the Neville Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Captain Shreve's offense. They fell just short of Catholic by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The Gators haven't had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Neville's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Byrd. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked tenth).

Captain Shreve's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3-4. As for Neville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4-1.
