Baseball Recap: Wewoka Comes Up Short

Wewoka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 11-1 to the Strother Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 last Friday.

Wewoka's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Strother, their record now sits at 2-7.

Coming up, Wewoka will challenge Meeker at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Wewoka is facing Meeker at the right time seeing as Meeker is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Strother, they have already played their next game, an 8-0 defeat against Asher on the 21st.
