Volleyball Recap: Milton Eagles vs. Mount Paran Christian Eagles
Milton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Mount Paran Christian. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Mount Paran Christian this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Thursday.
Macurdy Harden paced Milton's offense, picking up 13 kills. Harden got some help from Abigail Mowbray and her 21 assists.
Mount Paran Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nola Belle Schoenborn led the charge by getting eight digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Schoenborn a new career-high. Kelsie Moran was another key player, getting 11 digs and one assist.
Milton's loss dropped their record down to 18-13. As for Mount Paran Christian, their record now sits at 21-8.
Milton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Roswell on the 16th. As for Mount Paran Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against North Oconee on the 13th.
