Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Takes a Loss

After flying high against Woodford County on Thursday, Lafayette came back down to earth. The Generals fell just short of the Anderson County Mavericks by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

Lafayette actually scored more points across those three sets (57-53), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 13-25, 15-13.

Lafayette has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Anderson County, with the victory, they broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 8-11.

Lafayette has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Russell on the 19th. As for Anderson County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Ballard on the 19th.
