Softball Game Preview: St. Francis Gladiators vs. Traverse City Central Trojans

The St. Francis Gladiators will venture away from home to face off against the Traverse City Central Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

St. Francis was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Cheboygan 7-6.

Meanwhile, Traverse City Central got the win against Sault Area on Thursday by a conclusive 11-4. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Traverse City Central's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for St. Francis, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
