Football Recap: Claxton Tigers vs. Wheeler County Bulldogs
Claxton fell victim to Wheeler County and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wheeler County Bulldogs, falling 20-0.
A big part of Wheeler County's victory came down to the chemistry between Shiann Carey and her top target Kaleigh Scott. Carey rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries while Scott gained 50 total yards and two touchdowns. Those 88 rushing yards gave Carey a new career-high.
Claxton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Wheeler County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
