Softball Recap: Oak Ridge Gets the Win

Oak Ridge came out on top against Davis Sr. on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Trojans took their matchup against the Blue Devils 6-1. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Ellison Schroeder looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emery Glaser, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Paratore, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Oak Ridge's record now sits at 18-3. As for Davis Sr., they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-12-1.

Oak Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-0 victory against St. Francis on the 2nd. As for Davis Sr., they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against Rocklin on the 5th.
