Volleyball Recap: Willowbrook Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Willowbrook waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Hinsdale Central Red Devils by a score of 2-0. The Warriors were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Red Devils, so the Warriors were just returning the favor.

While Willowbrook might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Hinsdale Central scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Hinsdale Central saw an underclassman step up: freshman Braden Degnan had 12 assists and six digs.

Willowbrook's win bumped their record up to 12-19. As for Hinsdale Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-21.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Willowbrook will take on rival Hinsdale South at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hinsdale Central is set to face off against their familiar foe Lyons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
