Osseo-Fairchild took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Mondovi, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Thunder had just enough and edged out the Buffaloes 4-2. For the Thunder, this counts as revenge for the 7-1 victory the Buffaloes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Osseo-Fairchild is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Mondovi, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-2.
