Volleyball Recap: South Florence Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Lower Richland on Tuesday, South Florence came back down to earth. The Bruins came up short against the Hartsville Red Foxes on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Bruins have struggled against the Red Foxes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 25-11.

Despite the loss, South Florence still got an impressive performance from Hailey McManus, who had 23 assists and eight digs. McManus is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 18 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Hartsville can attribute much of their success to Ava Wilcox, who had 11 digs and four aces.

South Florence's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Hartsville, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 22-9.

South Florence does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hartsville, they will face off against Camden at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
