Appalachian has gone 9-1 against Cleveland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Appalachian Eagles will be home for the holidays to greet the Cleveland Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Cleveland took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Appalachian, who comes in off a win.

Appalachian is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against Victory Christian on Tuesday. Appalachian took down Victory Christian 57-40.

Meanwhile, Cleveland was not able to break out of their rough patch last Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Susan Moore and fell 63-22. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 131st).

Appalachian's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Cleveland, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Appalachian was able to grind out a solid win over Cleveland in their previous matchup back in January, winning 49-40. Will Appalachian repeat their success, or does Cleveland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
