Volleyball Recap: Maranatha Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Escondido Charter last Thursday, Maranatha Christian came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Patrick Henry Patriots on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Maranatha Christian was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Patrick Henry work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-9, 25-17.

Presley Gibson paced Maranatha Christian's offense, picking up seven kills. Gibson got some help from Quinn Kaechele and her 17 assists. Ellaina Lindberg controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Maranatha Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Patrick Henry, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Maranatha Christian has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Granite Hills on the 21st. As for Patrick Henry, they will venture away from home to take on Valhalla at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
