Baseball Recap: Ocracoke Takes a Loss

Ocracoke and Chatham Charter squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Ocracoke had to settle for second. They lost 8-0 to the Knights. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Dolphins' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Ocracoke's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Chatham Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Ocracoke does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chatham Charter, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-0 victory against Gates County on the 9th.
