Basketball Recap: Sweet Water Takes a Loss

Sweet Water and Marengo squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Sweet Water had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 65-5 loss at the hands of the Marengo Panthers. The loss leaves the Bulldogs without a win on the season.

Sweet Water's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Marengo, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Sweet Water does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marengo, they will face off against Shields at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Marengo's defense has only allowed 27.8 points per game this season, so Shields' offense will have their work cut out for them.
