Softball Recap: East Clarendon Takes a Loss

East Clarendon managed to slip by Sumter the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wolverines lost 10-0 to the Gamecocks on Friday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Wolverines were not able to get on the board.

East Clarendon's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Sumter, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5-1 record this season.

East Clarendon will head out to square off against Mullins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sumter, they will face off against Blythewood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bengals' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Gamecocks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
